Academic Impact and Recovery Conceptualization and Results

The COVID-19 pandemic led to the biggest interruption in student education in the history of the United States. Nearly three years since the pandemic began, academic assessment data derived from various sources has clearly shown the large and far reaching negative impacts pandemic related disruptions to education have had on students. Through the Center for Assessment’s wide ranging work with states, this presentation showcases what state summative assessments indicate in terms of student academic impact and recovery.
