Pandemic Impacts and Recovery Efforts: Gwinnett County

In this RILS 2022 presentation, Miranda McLaren and Debbie Durrence discuss the key impacts that the pandemic had on the Gwinnett County school district in Georgia, which is a large, diverse urban district in the Atlanta metro area serving approximately 181,000 students in 142 schools. They discuss cultural practices, strategy planning, as well as assessment and accountability shifts that the district has put in place to engage in systematic recovery efforts. Along the way, they share strategic insights and lessons learned that may be of use to other district and state leaders. After the two district presentations, they will take part in a panel discussion with opportunities for audience participation.
