The District Assessment Design Toolkit is designed to help district and school leaders review their ecosystem of assessments in a systematic way. The toolkit consists of a spreadsheet template and a implementation protocol that describes how the spreadsheet can be used and what the different elements mean.
The spreadsheet covers various types of assessments, their uses, their essential design elements, and various other aspects. To make this toolkit work across diverse local contexts and within a local process of continuous improvement, some adaptations to the spreadsheet and the protocol will be required. To this end, both documents are easily editable.
