Identifying Learning Progressions in Common Core State Standards for use in Alt Assessments

In 2010, the National Alternate Assessment Center (NAAC) at the University of Kentucky sponsored a curriculum development project to create learning progressions frameworks using the (June 2010) Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in ELA and mathematics. This work was conducted under the direction of Dr. Karin Hess, Senior Associate at the National Center for Assessment in Dover, NH. This presentation describes the general development process and structure of the learning progressions and instructional modules created during the project.
